50$ per week? You are a LIGHTWEIGHT! My neighbors on either side spend over 200$ per week. Their motto is that the lottery is much less expensive than an illegal addition and less painful to quit; and humbly I thank them continually for raising the j/p's for me.

this is hard to keep track on how much I spent before I just use to spend 40 dollars a week between MM/PB, now I send a bit more give or take adding sweetmillion and NY lotto and scratch tickets. One thing if for sure you can't win if you dont play .

I spend about $20 a week on lottery tickets. mulitply that by 52 weeks and you get $1040/year. 90% of that money is for MM and PB, but once in a while I'll get a hunch about a pick 4 number and spend on that.

I dont really spend one off as my plan is to play for a lifetime. Big plays, big loss. I rather spread my thousands throughout the year than in one game and then be miserable the rest of the year.

I think that you are not with the big players. I saw tickets for one game for about 1 000 euro, and know about people having spent several thousands for a few games. If you compare to casino play, five hundred euro/dollar budget for a game isn't such a big amount. A system player comes prepared with thousands. I would have liked to play a 650 euro wheel for several games, but people didn't go for it. Now, it is to late, they changed the odds and payouts

Well to be honest my play varies depending on the situation. I try to take care of my bills first.

Then what I have left over to play with I use that. Now If I win say like 500 from a pick 3 hit straight

or say a 200 dollar pick 4 box then I will play hard for the next drawing. For example If I hit say 500

on the pick 3 then instead of playing a number once I might play it 5 or 6 times to go for $3000.00.

$1550 to $5000 in 2 years time.

I am spending minimum 1200 euros ($1550) per year for lottery games.

Sounds painful sum to most of you, but atleast I am honest.

I have even travelled into Italy for a vacation when there was this 148 million euros jackpot,

to Belgium for 185 million and this months to Florida for $325 million in Powerball.

If all that was combined to vacational costs, we are talking about $5000 in last 2 years, minimum.

you're doing very well, quit back in 85 and told myself,

now i have more $ for lottery.

smoking has zero chance of making me a millionaire,lottery has slim chance,

you may still get the urge now then,you just need a distraction,or maybe you already know that.

looking back i not only had more $ for lottery, but paid for my truck. w/ the $ that would have went up in smoke,and left garbage in my lungs.

The per capita spending by the 15 largest state lotteries is $247 so the average spending of an avid lottery player might be over $2000 a year. We also have to factor in that $34.2 billion is returned as winnings and some of that is used to purchase more tickets so the average out of pocket spending is less.

The per capita loss is about $100 a year and I did my part to contribute to that number last year.

well my original plan was to be in every draw for as small a bet as possible. i have a few groups i play with that does that. 1 with 4family, 1 with 2 pals, and 1 with 1 pal. i run 2 of the groups and send money to the 3rd.

This isnt enough and I start putting my own bets on the side. this is where my account keeping is coming in, i see the regular bets as necessities, and these extra bets as unnecessary. I see winning as luck. and being in the game as a requirement to get lucky

hey im not an american but i started a sig file so i could advertise my losses investments. and returns.

was shocked after january $170 down. $40+ up, but feb is looking positive. if anyone is a little worried about how much they bet , id suggest writting down every spend and every win. and see where its going. even after noticing the amount i spend on extras, and trying to lower the amount im still spending over $100 a month, as i like to convince myself, less than i used to spend on smokes
