Here the online lottery is fee free and offers a small advantage with quick picks, as you can click yourself through those.

Our wins are tax free.

If you could play world wide, I would enjoy it. Finally I could choose the lottery that I like, and it won't be Powerball or some other super jackpot lottery.

Every time something new comes out they predict the death of the previous version. Instead we end up with both because each has features the other lacks. Cell phones will replace land lines. TV will replace radio.

The thing I don't like about the kiosks is that you can't cash in winners (except Take 5 Free Plays). It'll tell you if you have a winner, but then you have to go to a clerk to get your money. I understand why it does that -- the machines don't dispense cash -- but if I wanted to put my winnings toward more tickets, I can't do that.

My grocery store has a self-operated kiosk. The problem is that it only dispenses QP's. I've used a couple of times and works flawlessly, and doesn't

give me attitude even if I decided to kick it.

I wouldn't mind having all lottery games available online. New York already lets me subscribe to Mega Millions and Lotto, and I think they plan on adding Powerball to their online offerings sometime this year. If I could also do Take 5 and Sweet Million online, that would save me the trouble of having to schlep to the store and play.

I don't think it would result in me spending more on lottery games, at least not on a regular basis. I might run out and get an extra Quick Pick or two if the MM... [ More ]

Same here! I prefer a self operated kiosk too. Much better. I hate dealing with the clerk(s) attitude and mean mugging. I'm 20 years old but I look like I'm 16 or something and they're always asking me for I.D. it's annoying. I have chin hair and a mustache lol.

Anyways, I think the cashier nearby my house has a personal kiosk but I'm not really sure. Might have to check it out. If there is one, I'll be very happy and content. I hate dealing with the clerks, they give bad auras to my po... [ More ]

I don't trust an online format. However, I wish I didn't have to deal with a store clerk directly. I'd prefer a self operated kiosk. Maybe they are out there, but not in my area.

Personally I wouldn't trust it at all.

Along with the CONS brought up in the OP, some of those poker sites that operated offshore got slammed for the Feds not because of running gambling online but because of not paying winners.

Oh, we owe you $12,000? Come get it.

Consider all the internet lottery scams already.

Also, not taking cash out of your wallet but clicking a mouse or using a touch pad or phone is a real easy way to 'bury yoursel'f financially before you know it.... [ More ]

Since I leave my house daily for one reason or another (work, groceries, work,) anyway, I usually stop during my trip to get my tickets, if I need them. I like the online idea, but, I think that there will be more people that will spend more than they should because they won't have the hassle of actually going to a retailer. I have not purchased tickets for a drawing because I just didn't feel like making the trip.

week, wasting my time and gas to simply get my tickets. After driving and waiting in line, it usually only takes a few seconds for the whole

Wouldn't it be cool, law permitting, to be able to play all your favorite online games from all states anytime?

There comes to mind however, some immediate pro's and con's.

CON'S:

Retailers: Convenience stores, gas stations, any lottery retailer concerned for their loss of sales/foot traffic.

Internet Security: Being able to assure and guarantee to the public that all transactions are safe and secure from hackers.

PRO'S
