heres the PA. thread,

no real secrets about my sources, i lived in socali for a time, and i work in the casino industry and you pick things up here and there ,

in atlantic city we say this town runs on rumors

we also say there's no secrets in this town

its starts to fall together like a jigsaw puzzle.

Sell it to someone who is actaully cares about customers and what they want, and stop making crap games with no paybacks. Funny how they calim to be getting rid of and starting new games base on what people vote for, but I never had a vote nor do I know anyone else who had one. I liked the lucky for life game and they got rid of that and made that stupid Quinto one.

In Vegas most old time players pray for the day when the BOYZ would take of casino clientel affairs instead of the cold corporations.

Bye the Bye regarding the reportedly biggest state lottery, California, the highest grossing outlet in the entire state is that same store on the CA/Nevada State Line owned Terribles Casinos who vigorously opposes lottery legalization in NV via /H. Reid

@ eddessaknight, another big difference between NV. PA.

PA. had lottery 1st, casinos came later, much later, and the state wanted them cause they were losing revenue to jersey casinos.

NV.had casinos way back, 1931 ? and most were controlled by the mob,

the numbers games were also controlled by the mob so lottery was unwanted,

now its controlled by big business and their puppet harry reid.

I might add,the lottery outlet just over the NV/CA border is part of the complex that makes up the 3 casinos there,

just a couple hundred yards over the imaginary line, and the they own casinos in vegas,

mainly the newyork-newyork, but also others and partner to MGM,

so in addition to making everyone go to the stateline (and many are their employees)

they prevent c-stores and gas stations,

(which they have another battle w/ cuz they wish they did'n... [ More ]

You have posted a number of good points on lottery prvitazation.....

Interestingly PA has just surpased NJ as the 2nd largest casino revenie. state nationally. Meantime ehilr 95% of Nevada olled favorably for a lottery the greedy casino controlled state opposes the public desire, Don't other states have lotteries casinos?

Funny world progresses on one side regresses on the other.

Oh well back to the Track Racing Book

OK, i like scientific games, used to own their stock, autotote also, they're the same co. now,

that name is on the back of every ticket at the track,

would,nt the pols. still be involved ? jersey is still subsidizing 3 of 4 race tracks,

the mix never seems to work out right.

PA would not sell their lottery, but would have a private management arrangement. Instead of state workers and politicians determining how to run the lottery, companies like Scientific Games, Intralot, GTECH, etc. would operate the lottery with government oversight.

According to the press release, PA profits have risen 0.3% for the past five years. In IL's first year under private management, sales rose 14%.

i don't see how a private operator could improve the odds, they need to turn a profit.

now they're saying if it works out,

they could use the model to privatize the liquor business too. (state stores)

which they have been talking about for 30 some years.

they should get out of the liquor biz first, thats not run nearly as well as the lottery.

i hope they do sell it, maybe the odds will improve and a scratch off will actually win something for once. if the lottery was owned by a corporation, it would be bad for business to have as many losers as they have now.

heard on the radio this A.M. the pa. gov. wants to sell the lottery,what good would that do ?

jersey's last gov. a guy named corzine, wanted to do this and also wanted to sell the turnpike and

and the garden state parkway,this is part of the reason we ran him outta town on a rail.
