I sat in one class of statistics, master degree sociology with a friend for half a morning. Surveys meet statistics.

You still didn't learn when to use uppercase.

Historically speaking it might be considered worse than a mafia, as they used it to gather money for buying cannons. Not a very noble cause. A few hundred years ago organizing a lottery was a way to earn money quick. Noble people liked to gamble, and to win. Read a few old French books about it!

technically i could be considered a journalist as well as i did write for the paper once upon a time...i even had my picture in the paper...but i digress...

somebody here said the lottery is the mafia...

i would say its more like a democratic movement...

also once you take drugs and psychology classes in college and watch the WALL by PFloyd...you are almost already a sociologist

Statistically most Americans are in jobs they don't like. It's said that the most common time for heart attacks is on monday mornings- people detest the thought opf going back to a job they can't stand so much that their bodies say OK and shuts down.

Most forms of gambling are an attempt to bring in a little extra money.

Lottery jackpot games offer a way yo get out of the trap for good.

For most working slobs, it's the only way to make a major score.
