I used to spend $5 per draw and now I only spend $1.

I've done better with the $1 across 5 draws than $5 towards 1 draw. So for me it looks like it's better spending less across more draws.

i buy stocks w/ dollar cost averaging, and increase the allotment when the stock falls below its 12 month low,

but how does this apply to lottery

While true, it doesnt apply to those who only play the same 1 set of numbers each and every drawing. (and yes I have had peeps tell me how silly my choice of style of play is)

lolol - although if i did that on the ONE night that my numbers came up... had 10 tickets (PB) or 20 tickets (MM) and then one other person shared the pot with me... i believe that they would be rather pissy only getting 1/11 of the pot (PB) with me with 10/11 or 1/21 of the pot (MM) with me with the other 20/21... it w... Yes, you have zero chances of winning in the drawings that you not participate, but you have increase your chances of winning without spending more money.

It takes discipline to skip 10 powerball drawings in order to play $20.

I win more smaller prizes by Lump Sum investing my lottery money in one particular drawing versus spreading it out in different drawings.

Lump Sum investing my lottery money increases my chances of winning.

Spending $20 in one Powerball drawing is better than spending $2 in 10 different Powerball drawings.
