The (add state name) Lottery game rules and regulations and (add state name) state law apply to all games, tickets, transactions, drawings, and prizes

When I posted that on the other thread, it was almost verbatim what is printed on the back of Kentucky Lottery tickets. It's interesting that on the back of almost every state lottery ticket it says basically the same thing. I've hated ballet ever since I was in school and they put a question on a test about ballet and I got it wrong.

The question asked what The Nutcracker was (which I know now is a Russian Ballet).

Welp, I answered that The Nutcracker was what the boys in gym class called what happened to you when you slipped on the balance beam.

I've hated ballet ever since.

I know in Oregon they want you to do the press conference and have your name plastered all over the news like the family that won the $345 powerball jackpot. The news was at their house before the end of the day waiting to see them and talk to them. You can not claim a trust in Oregon either the lottery frowns on that. Every single lottery ticket I've seen has this very first sentence written on it. I'm not sure why Arkansas even bothers having it on theirs...it means absolutely nothing as they've proven already.

I don't have a Missouri ticket at the moment but this is from the Missouri Lottery website. Interesting as I don't think Missouri is listed as one of the anonymous states for PB and MM.

In texas, it says sign ticket before claiming lotto texas, mega millions, and powerball jackpots prizes, also any prize over $1,000 must be claimed at the texas lottery headquarters..Prizes over 599 must be claimed at a claim center or by mail..to claim by mail, send signed ticket and completed claim for to the texas lottery headquarters ..the tlc is not responsible for tickets lost in the mail:-) and prizes must be claimed 180 days after draw date..thats all

Also, for all of you California lottery players, this a link to a thread that talks a little more about claiming with a trust or LLC. I had sent an email to the California State Lottery asking about claiming anonymously and then posted the response.

The California Lotto tickets say nothing about media coverage or whether a ticket can be claimed anonymously. However I did read the Lottery regulations from their website and it says:

CLAIMING A PRIZE OR AWARD

1. General Regulations (Draw and Scratchers )

a. Individuals under 18 years of age and those named in

Government Code section 8880.321(g) are ineligible to receive a

prize. If an ineligible individual makes a claim for a prize either

All ticket, transactions, drawings, winners and prizes are subject to Georgia Lottery Corporation (GLC) rules and regulations and applicable law. Ticket purchasers must be at least 18 years old. Please sign-the ticket is a bearer instrument until signed. All prizes must be claimed within 180 days after the winning draw date. The date of claim is the date of receipt by the GLC.

What does it say on the back of your tickets in regard to claiming and press conferences and release of information?
