I chart the winning numbers and pick my numbers from there.

About the only game I'll wheel numbers for is the Illinois Lotto. I get two games for a buck. Therefore, I can use a bit larger of an abbreviated wheeling system.

Congrats, you grasped the idea real quick. Now, if you use wheels on regular basis try to convert their definitions to the system I proposed. Should not take you very long. The advantage is that you always clearly know your target (W) and how much it's going to cost you (T). From my personal experience I always prefered N from 14 to 18 that targetted W of 3 or 4. Occasionally, even if I targetted only 3 (W) I could come up with 4 for a win. Depends on quality of the wheel.

Good golly, I likes that! That is much easier to understand. I understood it on one reading. You say you use full wheels, eh? That forumula you came up with has the benefit of an abbrievated wheel but playing a full wheel. Nice stuff.

I thought in the formula I described, E was the number of tickets to play (in my example, 50). But your formula makes things a ton easier to understand.

So putting my example into your formula, it would be 5W 5H 10N 50T.

From the beginning, and it was years ago, I found this way of describing wheels confusing. What disturbed me was, as you noticed yourself, that none of the wheels defined the number of tickets (lines) to play. So I modified (or designed) wheels in different way. I played Lotto 649.

Each wheel must have 4 defining parameters:

W - targeted level of win (in Lotto 649 that would be 3 to 6 numbers);

H - numers that I have to match (hit) in the wheel;

N - numbers in the wheels distributed

I should have said we each spend HALF of $116. per draw. But it is still about $450. per month each.

One line + all 35 PB = $70.

One line + all 46 mega balls = $46.

= $116 per draw.

If by some rare chance we hit 3 of the regular numbers after about 6 months of playing we would get back $150.

$2700. investment, $75. return.

Oh Yeah,

There is one other choice. You can get in a pool with me and we can each spend $116. per draw on tickets. I like the idea of playing one line with all the bonus balls on both MM and PB on every draw, but its going to cost around $900 a month. If we split it its only $450. a month, but we will have the bonus ball on every draw.

I can't recommend any software or books my ownself but I'm sure somebody will, so hang in there, LottoPerro.

I know there's a lotta good stuff you can use to your advantage if you upgrade to Gold or Platinum though.

And I've learned a few new things. I've mainly learned about wheeling, which sounds cool. I've already understood the grasp of a full wheel - it basically takes all of your chosen numbers and provides every single combination out there. It wasn't that hard to understand.

I haven't really put much thought into key wheels, but abbreviated wheels perplexed me until I sat down and read the formula. If I understand correctly, it uses a formula called A-B, C if D in E (okay, my research didn't come... [ More ]
