I hadn't played an EZmatch in a while and should have known beter, but since the biggest lotto prize going in Illinois on a Thursday is Lucky Day Lotto I threw $1 at the EZmatch and it walkeed between the raindrops again.

Two of my numbers are 12 and 14 and the EZmatch? 13, big surprise.

I knew it was a loser when I saw the prizes:

$500,

$20,

$500,

$500,

$500.

Maybe someone in Illinois can start EZmatch Players Anonymous

A few months ago I won $50 from Missouri's EZMatch the first time I played. When i got the chance to go backagain I only won about $3 or smaller

I guess I misunderstood EZMatch until today. I thought that if one of the numbers listed on your ticket for EZMatch matched one of the numbers in the daily drawing that you won the prize, boy what a sucker I am! This game is a total sham, I'll be putting my extra $1 towards the jackpot from now on. The only positive I can see with EZMatch is if they take all of those extra dollars and add them into the jackpot thus making the grand prize grow larger and more quickly. Not sure how frequent it is for someone to win $100 but think it's not common. I wonder exactly how they determine the odds on sometghing like EZmatch.

The Illinois Lottery website says the odds on the Casino Crossword are 1 in 3.93, which is relatively on the low end of scrathcer odds for $1 to $3 games, but for us it seems breaking even on crossword (or bingo) scratchers 9is about the best we've done, and not often.

Seems like there's big winners on them over in Missouri though.... [ More ]

The new Casino Crossword game looks interesting, did she pick up some of those too? That's good that someone won $100 on the EZMatch but how rare is that you know?

I was talking to a lotto retailer today and they said themselves that the EZMatch is the biggest waste of money garbage they called it.

Maybe the terminals aren't set up to match the playslips yet. Each game A, B, C, etc...has a box for EZmatch but from what I've seen it will only do one Ezmatch no matter how many games played, and like you said, no advance play.

I'm trying to play it only off of winners but today where we play they had a ticket up - $100 Winner! - someone had won $100 on the EZmatch - # was 39 - this morning and cashed it right then and there.

So that lured me in but no EZmatch.

Bought EZMatch ticket today, no winner. It's interesting to note that I wanted to buy 1 draw for the next three days on the same ticket and I wanted EZMatch for each date, but it only gave me one EZMatch for the whole ticket!

I played an EZmatch today, nada. The prizes were $5, $20, $50, $100 and $500. When I saw that I didn't have the $5 I knew it was toast.

I played QP ticket at 12:26 and got (changing the numbers a little)

played another QP a few hours later, at a different place, and got

The most I've won so far on EZ Match is $3. My local retailer told me I was better off putting the extra dollar on another Lucky Day ticket. I decided to find out what the odds were and this is what the Il Lottery sent me.

$500 prize 1:210,000 $100 prize 1:5000 $50 prize 1:1500

$20 prize 1:350 $10 prize 1:250 $5 prize 1:100

Played two Lucky Day Lotto games today, but only one EZMatch and won, take a guess, yeah $1.00. What's interesting is on the Illinois Lottery Facebook page, someone was criticizing the game and here is what they posted:

The overall odds of winning an EZ Match prize are 1 in 4.89. The odds of winning a top $500 prize are 1 in 210,000.

True. I wonder if this is just another way for them to make an extra buck off us without us realizing we are getting hosed, i.e. paying the extra $1 for Mega or Powerball Powerplays...

So I had the brilliant idea to play

02 03 04 05 07 (because playing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 just isn't done!)

...if you look at the EZmatch prizes and they're all high you probably don't have any matches.

LOL, I noticed the same thing with the Lucky Sum on the Pick3 in TN when I tried it a few times when it first came out.

If there was a bunch of high prizes, you won't match any of the sums.

If there were low prizes, you had a chance.

I think this game is similar to scratchers in the sense that if you look at the EZmatch prizes and they're all high you probably don't have any matches.

Ok, here is the new thread to post your results from the new EZmatch game that is associated with the Lucky Day Lotto game in Illinois. This game used to be called Little Lotto. But they changed the name. In order to participate in the EZmatch game, you have to tell the lotto rep that you want to add the $1 to the Lucky Day Lotto ticket and the results will automatically print up on your ticket.
