No, I do not work for any cable co. LOL. Look at it this way. If a light bulb in a lamp gets loose it won't light, you screw the bulb in (ie, tighten it) and bingo! It lights.

If the cable on your car battery gets loose, the car won't start. You tighten it and guess what? It starts.

If your router doesn't work, check the connections. If they are tight and it doesn't work, then call the cable co.

The router I have is netgear and I have no problems with it or the comcast cable. Just a basic trouble shoot, but are all of your cable connections tight? Sometimes we can overlook the simple fixes. And then we're like...

thanks for the info...the funny thing is that i felt something was strange when the router TWX(timewarner)

installed was a Netgear...

and they never disclosed there would be extra cost.

At least the verizon router had their name on it...

In my opinion for TWX to install a netgear router is unprofessional and cheap.

I still have the Verizon(VZ) router...they didn't take it when the service was changed...

I guess its not worth too much. I have wondered if somehow i could use the... [ More ]

You can buy your own router at Best Buy or any place that sells computers or laptops. After you pay your $5.00 a month for a couple of years, you could have bought 2 or 3 of them. And you know they're going to raise the rental fee at some point. A decent one is about $40, a better one is about $75.

What i have is a crappy wifi router...i didn't have these problems with Verizon...they are claiming its interference!!!

they want to charge me 5 dollars extra per month for this crappy router...i have to call and complain tuesday...i am getting tired of complaining to mega-corporations who should be doing their jobs right in the first place

sometimes...if its a real long post... i will copy it...before sending it...

because...my Time warner internet service is a little shoddy...

sometimes when i click send it says...Internet Explorer cannnot display the webpage...

then that little return dohicky is useles...

once i hit the webpage back button instead of the message window return arrow...

that sucked.

I stay logged on all the time but only get on the site in the evening after work. My laptop is turned off during the day so I'm not sure what my status shows, but I'm always logged on when I return to the site...easier than logging in every time.

I just can't stay up that late, if my avatar says online after 11PM , i forgot to log off or i'm asleep at the desk. LOL

I've always wondered about that... I really never close my internet browser nor turn my PC off so I've always figured my status seems to be forever online.

My actual time on the site usually varies, sometimes I'll spend a few hours each day looking at various threads or old news stories and others I jump on for just 2-3 minutes seeing what's new, not really commenting.... [ More ]

I find LP to be addictive, i jump on and off many times a day.
