Agree with the others...I'd still buy tickets from the store. Just not tickets from that exact same game.

I agree with what everyone is saying that you have to buy a different ticket from the same lucky store. You never know when it will be your turn to win. Example I was buying tickets at TJ's superette in sheridan, Oregon and I was going to play this one christmas ticket but the clerk had bought it before I could get to it. It was a $5000 winner and she was happy. I chalked it up to not my time to win at that store. So you never know when your store will be lucky for you! Good luck!-weshar75

I used to tell myself not to buy from a store that had a Top Prize in the past. HOWEVER considering a store not far away from me sold a $500,000 winner in March 2012, and then 7 weeks later sold a $3 Mill Top Prize (Last Month), that theory way of thinking has changed.

I still wouldn't buy the SAME scratch off from a store that just sold a Top Prize, but I would buy a different one for sure

lucky store? maybe. but i agree with you shy... i wouldn't purchase the SAME scratcher that just won from THAT store. maybe a different one though...

I don't know shy that's a tuffy, my gut tells me not to buy from a store that has had a nice win, but like Ridge said there are lucky stores. So I say go with your gut.

It looks like you agree with me that the odds probably aren't in my favor at that store right now. Like you,

I have heard some people think there are lucky stores and I tend to believe that, guess just hasn't been lucky

for me, lol. The other day I went to a Gulf gas station close to where I live and buy tickets from, asked the clerk

if they have had any decent winners from there place and person wasn't sure, have never seen them post anything

I would side with you, shyguitar, and think that the odds of another big winner in that store wouldn't be in your favor.

But then there are those who believe in lucky stores.

And indeed there have been instances of that too.

I was wondering what people think of this question? Yesterday when I was going to buy a certain scratch

ticket I noticed the convenience store posted a copy of a scratch ticket win of 10,000 dollars that was just

won recently. Now that was the scratcher I wanted to play but decided against it after seeing that someone

won that much in that convenience store. I wonder how many times someone will still be able to win something

decent in a store where someone won a good amo... [ More ]
