Nice break down as always, Stack. This is about the total money at stake, the odds, and most of all, the total opportunities available to win that money back. With PB, I'm all but guaranteed to lose my money many times over until, or, unless I get lucky. BJ is one to one and dollar for dollar where the odds of winning, or, getting your money back on the next play (hand) are very good. Same with Roulette.

I can understand if someone is losing $300 a month playing the lottery why they might be better off saving the money, but betting that savings on an even money wager just doesn't make any sense. It looks like the reason for betting the $300 in weekly installments on PB and MM in the first place was to win millions or even $10,000. Betting $300 to win $300 isn't even in the same ballpark with betting $300 several times to win millions.

Shot gunning money at the lottery is a waste of time and money. However staking out a 15 number range of a smaller game like Pick-5 can work when draws like last night's Florida 5/36 06/13 come in 25-27-28-31-34 and while draws like this are fairly rare three or four numbers falling into the range does happen more often.

Temptation is hard... I know. Everybody would love to win millions off a buck or two.. We get it. After you look at the odds though.. Well I dont. No matter how optimistic you are...Get real.

Anyways. Experience 1.

My friend told me to pocket every dollar I was going to spend on the lottery for 1 month. Well, besides a couple must buys i managed to pocket over 300 dollars(sad I know). He said, Now go to a black jack table and put that all down on one hand in high stakes.
