Keep in mind LL that some of these scratchoffs are very complicated...there are very few simple tic tac toe like games...

i hate stratch off and never buy them...they are too much work...they are messy...and they are too hard to figure out if you won...

Whenever I cash a ticket I always tell the clerk how much it is for. Also, you do not have to have the clerk check the ticket. Just ask for a printout of that days numbers and check them yourself.

My understanding is that middle eastern people are told to try to blend as best to their ability as possible. So when you call a calling center that is in India you will be talking to a Robert, Bill, Paul or Peters. you will not hear them us etheir real names anymore because American companies are adamant about using more American names to not insult Americans when they call. Just do a search right here on LP for Patel.

The hits will be in the News and the threads will be about people getting scammed by clerks that they asked to check their tickets for them. The clerks tell them that their tickets are losers are small winners when some of them were huge winners. An inordinate number of those stories have clerks named Patel.

There was some news program a while back that talked about companies offshoring customer service jobs to India. A lot of them were instructed to use American names vs their real names. It was interesting.

Even if you sign the tickets, only matters when it is worth more than 600 dollars and you have to go to the lottery office to claim it. Otherwise small amounts can be claimed by the local stores with or without signatures. I now also send the tickets in through the mail but i do not go to the stores any more to cash them in.

the store was located on 101 ave and 86 street on the corner. It was known as Peters because the man that owned the building was named peters and he had a store there in his hey day named Peters. so we still called it Peters but that was not the name after he leased the store but kept the building. I live in the Bronx and have the same problem. Especially with them accidentally giving me the wrong change back. That's why I only go to one particular store to cash my tickets and even still I check online to see how much I have won, AND I scan my tickets at the scanner near the door before I go up to the counter. Its just the way the world is these days. People will rip you off and not think twice about it even while claiming to be your friend.

Check his I.D. first to be sure. I believe God's I.D. has the raised watermarked background, with a 3-D holographic projection.

If the I.D. passes this security test, you should be all set to trust whatever verdict he gives you, concerning the winnings of your ticket

I always wondered if store owners were jealous of the lotto. People spend 20$ on a scratch-off, but never buy from the store. The world is full of bad apples.

Listen I have a friend who is from India. He owned a store here in Queens. He was a very nice guy or so I thought. We became friends over the years.
