Oh, I don't mind playing at all. So, I just have to submit a couple of sets of numbers or what? I've never really participated in anything like this for the same reasons I've already mentioned...they might hit and may not be in the system. I'd be willing to bet that somebody's numbers here at Mad Dog's Challenge have matched up at some point...even if it's 4+1.

I see where luck can beat these odds every time with no sweat, so I'm still working on my relationship with luck.

So I'm guessing LL that you don't want to play Do some combinations have better odds where you can submit 28 numbers and PRETEND that you hit 5 out of 5 ??

Just wondering, because the discussion is still underway as to whether or not anyone can beat the stated odds.

In fact, let's just completely throw out the jackpot and find out that several people actually matched (5) numbers for that cool $1 million...and missed out. With all the QP's I've purchased in the past, I know there are at least a couple of (4) number winners somewhere...maybe even a 4+1. Let's just leave it at maybe .

Even if I did have previous QP tickets, I wouldn't consider it...lots of risk there. It would be very naive to think it hasn't happened somewhere already. The chance I have, and, the chance I missed. I suppose it could be a good feeling to tell people that you won the lottery, but your numbers weren't played for that draw. Then, you have to listen to the how you could be rich right now and set for life stories.

Yep, I've went over this already concerning self and quick picks. In my opinion, it would be one of the worst things to ever discover. I say that because once you know you actually hit at some point, but your numbers weren't in the system, it will worry you to death until you hit again . We all know that except for a couple of very, very, very, unusual cases, this is a once in a lifetime deal...self explanatory. There is definitely a benefit to not knowing.

Here's an idea, everyone should check all their QPs at USA MEGA to see if they have EVER been a JP winner in the past. That would be a real bummer to see that you were a few drawings late and a few dollars short.

This applies to both quick pick and self pick numbers:

If you want to join the Glutton for Punishment Club or Masochists Incorporated you could save your tickets and check them later using one of those Are your numbers lucky? features that some lotto websites have.

It would be something to see that you had one or more big winners but just on the wrong day.

I think I'd rather not know. Blissful ignorance in this case.

Funny thing Last night,

I threw $25 dollars at my State pick 5 (1-35) as it is a little high, $$ right now.

I picked 24 plays using 2 different Lottery post wheels, and only 1 full Q-pick

The Results 3- 5- 6- 8- 12 (1) (unusual I know!!)

My Quick-Pick 1- 4- 5- 9- 13 (1) (trippy huh?)

I will be pulling that Quicky out from time -to-time,

I could be that it makes no difference whatsoever, but when I buy different QPs all the time I feel like I'm chasing the wind and I might be better off repeating them.

When I play the MM or PB QP's, I rarely even look at the numbers anymore. I used to look at the numbers and if I liked them, I would replay them. Then you fall into that trap of if you don't play them they will come in. I'd rather not know what the numbers were. I check the slips every couple of weeks and see if I won anything.

Getting a couple of QP or buying ONE SCRATCH TICKET is about as realistic as going into the casino with ONE QUARTER......... sounds like a great Play to Lose strategy to me.

The same is true at slots. Lower pay outs ALWAYS give you better odds regardless if its a 25 cent machine or dollar machine. The big difference is that going to a casino usually involves dropping $100s where to JP games can be played with $1-2 dillars and that is what it seems most people play.

That's why I simulate playing 100.000 lines on MM. It takes that many lines to have a 1 in 38 chance at a $250k prize.

Check out the odds of hitting $10,000 on MM or PB. I know we don't play the big games for 10G's, but that just illustrates the difficulty of winning.

Most players never look at the odds and that includes many LP members who should know better. The odds in MM are 689,065 to 1 and the $2 PB is 648,976 to 1. Both those odds are higher than the odds against matching 5 numbers in a 5/39 Pick-5 games that pays $100,000. Matching 4 numbers on MM with odds of 15,313 to 1 pays $150 but the same match... While I occasionally do play QP's, I don't replay a QP on a playslip. There's just so many combinations, it doesn't matter. Even in a small game like a Cash 5 game, you may have some smaller wins, but those numbers may never all come in. The best thing about playing 10 lines each draw is that it gives you 9 extra chances (small chances) over playing 1 line. I heard about a lady who bought one QP, liked the numbers, and got another ticket with the same numbers, for the same drawing. I don't think it was a MM or PB ticket, but either Pick 6 or Pick 5 game. She matched all the numbers. Since she had both winning tickets, she won all the prize money.

Here in Oregon you can only have 5 lines of plays on one ticket so I play one line of my own numbers and then four lines of QP's every drawing for both mega and powerball. I like to play the same numbers for mega and powerball of my one line and then QP the rest. Good luck to you!-weshar75

I don't usually play QP either and bought these with the idea of playing them over and over.

I changed my mind and was going to throw them away until I hit the big $7. clover.

Now I cant decide over spending $100, every 5 weeks or tossing it over.

Im in a real jam, and the JP could be my million dollar rover.

My gut feeling is telling me I should go, go, go.

But my $$$$ is saying to throw.

I just dont know.

Okay, no matter what numbers anyone is playing here, MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE, as long as those numbers fall between 1-59 and 1-35...THE COMBINATION IS STILL IN THE MATRIX. Self pick or QP...it's in there. So, when a person wins, it's really just the luck of that particular combination being drawn. No frills, no tricks, no systems, no rigging, NO NOTHING.

I have done it a few times and I very rarely get quick picks. A couple of months ago I really liked some QP numbers and played them 2 times. They seemed more random that I would have thought of...but won $0.

Do not worry Ronnie. The lottery will choose one of your combinations to win a $10k, $250k, $1M or the jackpot someday. You have to play to win, you can't choose better combinations to win than the lottery.

i once bought a qp, for a buck, and decided i liked the numbers, and to make sure i got a good share of the win i went and replayed the ticket for the same draw

I ask because I used a 10 line QP ticket and re-played the lines on regular play slips.

I played the 10 draw card for $100. and after 10 draws won a $7. return.

Should I keep spending $100. every 5 weeks on the same ticket?

Or just throw it in the trash and stop wasting my time
