They may have lost on this one pick, but when you watch all the other picks with only 50 to 100 winners, the TLC is way ahead of us players. If I play three numbers, 99.999% of the time I miss by one number. I continue to play because it is the thrill of trying to win a jackpot. When the 511 hit weeks ago, it was the third pre-draw number and I finally one $330 on that pick. If they do like they do here in MO, they inflate the numbers to make it look like they have a lot more winners than they actually do. If you read the fine print (at least here in MO) you will see they base sales on .50 tickets. Meaning if a single player bought a $1 dollar ticket on the trips instead, they would be reported as 2 players or two winners. So, the number of players will more likely be in the 3000 range and that doesn't even count the same player that bought more than the $1 dollar t... [ More ]

OMG!

Well hats off to the 6,176 folks that were a heck of alot smarter than I was. That's just amazing!

Looking at the report now. I don't remember the last time the house lost that much on any of the games. I check the sales reports often on all the games .... Not to say that in the long run they aren't making a killing, but still .... that's got to be one of the worse nights they've had in awhile.

Just looked at the sales summary report for P3 night draw for July 5th.

TLC had net sales of $505,105. There were 6176 winning striaght tickets. After factoring in sum it up sales and payouts, the TLC lost $1,044,854.

So, there were quite a few people who played 666, and TLC lost a million bucks in the process.
