I have no idea of the ratio of the how I'll spend my imaginary winnings or how the winner should spend their winnings posts to the realistic posts that actually offer ideas of how it could be possible to win a jackpot, but I'll bet it's huge. Due to the odds, $250 on a str8 play, my win/loss ratio was in the red because I couldn't play enough numbers to see any real profit, or, consistency. This one is very good, too. Although my playground gives me more room to run around, I still spend $375-$450 on each draw. I'm actually afraid of not spending it because then, I compromise the consistency of my whole approach. I have yet to not at least recover my cost on a single draw...even when I don't make money. Recovery, to me, is the single most important factor when playing. If you don't fully recover your costs, at some point, then you're really just losing all the time.

profit divided by starting price . is how you work out % gains. or losses divided by starting price. anything divided by zero dont work.

the more correct definiton is infinately increased odds. because zero can be multiplied for ever by the largest number imaginable, and it still wont increase to the odds of actually buying a ticket.

If you keep the dollar, you spent $0.00 on tickets and even if you spend the dollar on one ticket $0.00 times 100% still equals $0.00. Zero times anything is still zero and zero plus anything times zero is still zero.

If you spend $1 and add another $1 that's a 100% increase. If you add a third $1 that's a 200% increase over the first $1 and a 50% increase on the $2.

You're correct, you need 100 pennies to buy a $1 lottery ticket, but if you only have 0 to 99 pennies, you have zero chance of buying a ticket. Way back in third grade I was taught zero times anything is zero so 0 X 100% is still zero. 1% of 99 is .99 so adding 1% of 99 pennies still won't get you a $1.

You really ought to paste a link to the *quotes so we can read them in context to avoid making the author look stupid.
