I wouldn't suggest playing online. The DOJ continues to shut down or put pressure on overseas gambling. Most of the big names no longer offer Pick 3 or Pick 4 for the United States. I belong to 3 credit unions and none of them will send money to or receive money from gambling. When the law went into effect a few years ago, I had over $1,000 in one of those on-line companies. I had a very hard time getting my money and had to have them send me a check and I went to Mexico and paid a hefty fee for... [ More ]

The way I play them is in this case play all 6 str/box. If the number comes in, all 6 tickets are winners and the payout here in California is not enough that you have to go to the lottery office and pay tax and wait for your check, etc. For doubles it works great since you only have to buy 3 tickets.
