My mother and father don't play powerball untill it reached 200 million or more. Heck I don't see a darn thing wrong with winning the reset of 20 million.

I buy my my mega million and classic lotto tickets the morning after I find that my tickets didn't win. so...

MM: Wednesday for friday's drawing, and saturday for tuesday's drawing. Or randomly throughout the week if I have spare change in my wallet and nothing to do with it.

Usually all qp except one line of numbers that i've recently started playing.

Classic: Tuesday, Thursday.. I don't bother on sunday.

I buy mine every two weeks on payday Friday for the next two weeks. If the MM or PB jackpots get big enough, I might buy some extra tickets the day of the drawings.

I play both the MM and PB so I buy my tickets on Tuesday's and Friday's. I used to wait until the evening of the draw but we had a thunderstorm and a huge section of the city lost power. I worried all night that my always, never ever change numbers would hit!! I won't ever do that again too many things can happen.

I usually buy mine on Sunday for the week. But I often play Daily 4 extra during the week for $5 or $10 dollars a draw for 3 or 4 draws.

I just think that game gives me the best odds and chance to win serious money to do damage to some debt.

I love season tickets and the advanced play feature. So that tells you I don't like rushing to the store to buy a ticket.

If I happen to be at the store buying gas or groceries I will buy a ticket or two. Rarely when I feel lucky I will go to the

store with the sole mission of buying lottery tickets. Did I say rarely? I rarely feel lucky.

Generally when the Moon is in the Seventh House, Mercury is in it's third ascension, and when Jupiter is in full conjunction with Saturn.

In a pinch however, I'll settle for a Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday evening.

OMG I mix it up soooo much...I used to transport cars for a rental company and sometimes I'd buy tickets in every town I passed thru LOL

Usually i'll buy tickets the day of every Tues, Wed Sat and Friday no matter how much the jackpots is...but When it gets over 300 million....I buy tickets every day from drawing to drawing as long as it rolls until someone hits the jackpot .....then its back to buying them for every drawing four times a week for powerball and megamillions. Always buy your tickets at least an hour before the cutoff.

That way you will have time to adapt to obstacles.

When you walk to the store and the machine is down, then you have to walk back home to your car, and then drive somewhere else, all wasted time.

You need the extra time for challenges.

One day you will get to the store with winning numbers on your slip, either there will be a new clerk who doesn't have a clue, or there will be a LONG line of newbie wannabee gamblers, or you... [ More ]

I buy 2 weeks in advance, well when i get paid, and buy 2 weeks worth. for the regulars. some jackpot games i now hold off till the pot is higher as i dont think i should reward them for offering such poor starting pots,. so hold off till they get higher. usually 10 mill for 45m to 1 odds.

i can sometimes get bored and think hell ill put ticket on tonight , and race off only to miss the close off.

Hi, I was just wondering when people buy there upcoming lottery tickets? Do you buy them a week in advance, a few days before, the day of or at the last minute?

I'm a last minute person. I never really think about it untill about an hour or two before the drawing then have to rush to the store to get them.

Is there a better time then another or any time is good?
