Well, looks like 2007 and above.

We will start with a 2007 addin and go from there.

We might be able to do a 2003, but that would be at a later time.

Anything 2000 and below would not be possible for us to work on.

The first release of the addin will be very simple, data in, data out with a few minor extras related to projection.

Also, we may create a separate thread related to the addin's functionality and inner workings.

I've tried countless regression/neural network/other forecasting methods in excel and matlab before with very little luck. Any positive results I got seemed to occur as randomly as the input data coming in. I'll be anxious to follow the development of your new addin and see how it stacks up! Good luck

What we've found is that oscillating random data can have multiple waves.

The Wave Matrix is like a frequency filter that can, in general, find a close match to the waves in the oscillating data.

If you Sum the Linear Regression, Waves and the Remainder in a single line, you'll see the Sum of those equals the original data.

Example, in line 10 of our previous Wave Matrix of Column C, you can see that if each of the components in the Wave Matrix are Summed we get the original data.

You're getting a little ahead of what we have in mind for the Excel addin.

The program you are using is a test.

When we make the addin for Excel, there will be a few ways the addin can project into just the next draw.

You can do some of you own form of projection based on what you can see or analyze for the Wave Matrix program's output.

There are patterns that occur in 80% to 100% in the draws, we can neglect

These patterns of outputs, especially the basic, the matrix can help it

Jade, could test whether the size of the column example, a column of 20 numbers

Another test with 40 draws a column, or a long column of 200 sweepstakes

It seems that short columns, is more accurate?

The Excel addin we are working on would do some of the same thing.

Also, we would include the extra ability to project the regression, each of the waves, and the remainder to arrive at some projected value of the original data.

This where the Ultimate Wave Predictor comes in; which is not a part of the Wave Matrix program.

The old program was a test.

If you are going to put in something, it need to be a value that would be draw to draw.

Part of our test run came from an old VB6 program we made, The Wave Matrix.

We've come up with a slightly different algorithm for extracting the wave components and reworked the code to a C# based language.

It's generic, so it could be applied to just about Anything.

Lottery numbers, Stock Quotes, Daily Temperatures, Sun Spot Activity... so on.

Generic meaning the constant differential of the X component can be Any size, fully scalable.... in Seconds, Millisecond, Days, Years; Micrometers, Kilometers, Light Years... doesn't matter.

I use Excel 2010 and Lotus 123 ver. 9.8

I'm more proficient in 123 and have written several scripts (macros in Excel) although I'm attempting to teach myself Excel. There are several differences between both programs, some good and some not so good.

might need an upgrade of Visual Studio.

We can do 2003 and 2007.

Not sure right now, but I think a 2007 based addin would work on a 2010 product; just we have no way of testing.

For those of you that might not know, the Wave Matrix is based on the Bidirectional Mean Averaging and uses it to derive wave components in oscillating data.

The Wave Matrix consists of a Regression, Wave Components and a Remainder.

But i have access to 2010 on a relatives computer which has some applications that i would like to experiment with that are not available in 2007.

Although i have had some problems when sending files to different year models of excel. Such as mainly formatting issues.
