Does it matter what state you live in? Cause if you're in a state with no wage garnishment can they still or no...cause that's why creditors couldn't get my salary I live in a state with no wage garnishment

It would depend on the severity of corruption, that your state lottery is currently experiencing.

If the corruption level is extremely high. (7-10) (The Bernie Madoff level), there is a very likely chance the lottery will take all your winnings.

A moderate level of corruption. (4-7) The lottery will take at least half your winnings.

For a normal level of corruption. (1-3) You can expect the normal tax deductions to be applied to your winnings.
