My life is fine.

My country, however, is headed toward collapse and I have kids and grandkids to think about.

I can't operate on a narrow parameter of thinking only of what I want personally from government at the expense of the whole thing collapsing from everybody else doing the same thing.

Even President Kennedy (a Democrat, btw) said Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.

So do you care about your country?

I don't PM members with political campaigning or rants. I think this person needs to find other sources of amusement. I seem to get the crazies. I had another long term LP member send me this bizarre rant not too long ago because I mentioned the DC sniper in passing (it had been 10 years, etc). This nut called me names and said his sister lived in the area...big deal....so do I and a million plus other people. Grow up and stop being a drama queen.

Won't comment on the political aspects, but it looks like that person has been a member for over 4 four years. A while back I noticed several members with a birthday had zero posts and some hadn't visited LP for years. I've had inactive members with 0 or a very small amount of posts PM me with questions about lottery related comments I made so maybe this member is lerker and was just privately commenting on a political comment you made.

If it bothers you, block the name.

lol lol You are 100% right about that Ridge. I will take that as a good sign. And what infrastructure did anyone build for my business? I bought my tools/equipment; the roads on which I drive were not built in the past 4 years; and I pay sales tax and income taxes on every sale I make. And my books involve me and my computer. And I have seen more for profit/commercial art galleries and art related businesses go out of business in the past 4 years than I have seen in my entire life.

Very unlikely that he's a business owner though because he'd have to be insane to vote for Obama if he was.

I wanted to share this PM I received. I have never even heard of this member before now.

As you can see from hurricane Sandy that it is the goverment that builds the infrastructure - Obama's comment has been taken out of context, I am happy that you think you can claim sole responsiblity for your business. As a business owner I completely understood what he meant and I will be voting Obama 2012!
