I think people are encouraged to buy 1 ticket at the time, because from $1 buys most profits are made by lottery company, because those people practically never win. By Uluska.

However, to quote another line that you post often, you have to be in it to win it. There's nothing wrong with dreaming, but you can't dream of winning a jackpot for which you have not bought a ticket. There's also nothing wrong with playing only one line; in fact, many people do exactly that.

One does not need to buy a ticket every day in order to play the lottery every day. I buy my tickets once a week, but among those purchases is NY's Take 5, which, as you know, is drawn daily. It would indeed be odd, bordering on troubling, if someone was to buy tickets every day for games that are not drawn every day, such as Mega Millions and Powerball.

I play the Lottery once or twice a week and normally buy Mega Millions tickets, explained Watkins. I saw that Powerball had a bigger jackpot so bought a Powerball ticket instead. I checked my numbers the next day at work and was shocked when I realized I matched the first five numbers!

I always thought that maybe someday I would win big, he explained. Watkins plans for the money include paying off some bills and saving for college for his children. By Richard, Watkins Jr.
