The main reason I referenced lottery players, was to prevent the thread from being banished, because of non-lottery discussion.

My heart goes out of course, to the non-lottery residents who were also effected by this earthquake.

I test the shotgun approach every time I pick 10 lines to play since I usually pick those lines from as many as 1000 lines which sometimes used 15000 RNG cycles to produce. In every case if you're not shooting as the winning target, firing all one thousands shots won't change the outcome while if you're shooting as the winning target you're going to not maybe hit dead center but at least hit it somewhere every one in ten shots.

I don't have any numbers I call mine, I play different combinations every time I play.

I was in the running right up until after the drawing and then as usual reality kicked in. I wasn't even close, in ten lines I had 3x1+0 for $0. Oh well, it went up to $185M/$123.7M and I can try again Wednesday.

I got the RC5 results and only matched 2 x3 for $3. RC5 jackpot will be worth $556K tomorrow so I may play it again tomorrow.

I got my PB lines picked in time to make out the play slips and play them but didn't get a chance to post them to the prediction board before 10:00 PM.

No I haven't, RC5 our 5/39 game had a $400+ jackpot so I used my RNG to pick 10 lines for it. Mean while I gotten all my parameters figured out for my PB picks but I'm waiting for that drawing so I can enter the results in my RNG and see what parameter would have picked a winner. After I've done that I will record it then I'll reboot it to pick 10 PB lines.

As long as I get started before 9:00PM I should be done in time to print up the 2 play slips and play them before the 10:00PM dead line.... [ More ]

When that was built there was nothing north of there. Now there are dozens of communities to chose from including custom, mountain side, gated, secluded, and the list goes on and on. And a 101 freeway to boot for ease of access...... And that's just over in the North Scottsdale area.........

I felt I needed to educate myself after the DC area one. I still check the USGS site on occasion. The one that hit here happened the same week that a big one hit Colorado. After seeing the video of the tourists who were in the Washington Monument when it happened, no one could pay me enough money to go up there again or to live in California.

I am sure they will have a few little aftershocks (already had a 2.5 one). My relatives in SE kentucky felt it. I said imagine something that was nearly 6.0 which hit the northern VA/DC area over a year ago. I have friends in Michigan who felt that earlier one. It was like a freight train and the whole building was shaking back and forth. I will take hurricanes and tornados to earthquakes any day.

My mistake, didn't realize the tremors had extended to three other states!

Interestingly when first listening to CNN it was reported as a 5.5 magnitude, but 30 minutes later it was corrected to a 4.3.

Sounds like minimal damage at this point.

No reported deaths or serious injury at this point.
