She took the lump sum and she didn't have to pay taxes on the winnings either because in oregon up to $5000 is not taxed until the tax season comes around at the beginning of the new year.-weshar75

When my mother won $5000 in march of this year we got ceremonial pictures from the lottery rep. I still have the picture in my drawer here at the apartment. She won the money on a video lottery terminal in a bar we use to go too. It was fun to spend the money with her. I am waiting to get my ceremonial check from powerball on monday morning at the lottery headquarters in salem, oregon. Good luck to me!-weshar75

an offer. Truthfully I had no desire to do so. I just wanted my to get my real check, then b-line out of there, which is exactly what I did.

OMG I actually do have some leftover posterboard downstairs in the studio. I could print it on sticky paper and glue it to the posterboard. And maybe coat it with resin. Maybe I will make a tiny one to carry around with me in my wallet...credit card sized.

you prolly already have the talent and materials to make one in your studio.

I'm sure they have that as an option. The lottery office would have no further use for it. If fthey were to keep every check sincce its inception or introduction of the game in that respective state they would need 50k sq ft hall of winners.

As it is merely a prop, the winner(s), have a choice of eating the check immediately after the ceremony, or the check will be destroyed.

Approximately 68% make the decision to eat that big check.

Rational being most recipients haven't eaten for days, following the exciting news of their big win.
