I dont know.... Im thinking at first for the first year maybe it will not roll past maybe 100 million.....because of all of the people playing in Ca......Cause I think and I hate to say this I believe they meaning lottery officals can push the rollover to increase tickets sales....They get more press and more players when the jackpots are higher.....so to induce that kind of coverage.....I'm thinking large jackpots are going to be more sporadic...

Considering the $325 million jackpot on this series only sold about 70 million tickets and that level was usually seen in Mega at the lower $2xx million jackpot range (using Mega since it has similar 175 million to 1 odds), it could easily roll over to $400+ (and subsequently $500 million when the frenzy of ticket buying takes hold) at least twice a year on a regular basis. Some folk think Californians are smarter lottery players than those in the rest of the country which may explain why they win MegaMillions more often. If that's true then PowerBall may regret the day they added them since PB don't start making money until after the jackpot reaches $100M.

Cant really predict what jackpots will be. Look how long it took for PB to finally have a big jackpot, after raising the price. Jackpots may indeed rollover higher and faster with CA in the fold, but....with more people playing it's also possible that there will be jackpots won more frequently also. I remember earlier this year when PB was getting hit before even getting close to $100 mil, and people were wondering when the big jackpots were gonna happen because of the price increase.

To suggest that there are mixed feelings about this long anticipated announcment is an understatement. I think we can all agree though that jackpots will rollover even higher and faster with the most highly poulated state in the union joining the game.

What are your predictions in this regard
