We can call PB and MM national lotteries but there can't be a true national lottery until every state has a lottery.

Fortunately you can still get a 50 pick3 ticket at a retailer. I'm surprised the retailers haven't imposed a similar minimum since their 5% commission hardly covers the cost of a clerk for such a small transaction.

Maybe it's a marketing test and Illinois is the guniea pig for all the lottery states, or an upcoming national lottery.

Remember the 'loteria' tickets. That was before Northstar but the tickets were targeting the Hispanics.

I'm pretty sure that was a marketing test.

What about a $5 $100M starting jackpot with 3 lines.. 2 of which are QP or you can get all 3 QP. But you also can mix and match for smaller prizes? kind of like the match 6 in PA there's a simlar one here in Delaware too but it's not as good since the jackpot is smaller but the matrix is also smaller.

hahaha Its getting crazy. Now I am paying $3 for powerball with powerplay. A $5 game does not seem like an impossibility.

I give it maybe 2 years after California joins Powerball in April 2013

They are preparing Illinois residents for the $5 national premium game. I feel that it will be played daily at $5 per ticket with a $100M starting jackpot.

As everyone knows, Illinois now allows Illinois residents to buy PowerBall, Mega Millions, and Lotto tickets online apart from the subscription service. However, the Illinois Lottery administrators are requiring a minimum $5 per game purchase in order to buy online. I find that highly irresponsible and hypocritical. The Illinois Lottery will do PSAs touting people to play responsibly, and by responsible play, spending a buck on a given game is how I usually play. Only occasionally will I buy $5
