Very nice work JadeLottery.

I have something similar setup in Lotus 123 as a sub script.

Since he was looking for an Excel macro, I didn't offer it because of the differences in the programs and I didn't want to confuse him any further.

Mine is designed to color code each of the drawn numbers in a different background and text color as the file is updated.

As usual, your work is always very nice indeed...

Change the font color on the right to a color closer to white, then do a darker color and the numbers stand out more.

The files have some explaination of how to do the highlight.

Basically, you select the highlight color first, then do the compare.

I know nothing of VBA or macros! Dont matter how its done just want to be able to enter the 5 drawn numbers in the beginning and have it highlight ONLY those numbers thru the 35 (yes 35 is maximum). I would like say 100 rows.

With VBA this is a fairly easy task. are you familiar with using macro's? would you want all entrys to be same color or would you prefer each col to be a different color? is 35 the maximum # for this game? do you have a problem with moving your data to start at say row 4 in stead of 1? how many row would you like to be highlited. 1 or 1000 just as easy, each row takes a little computer time

The first A1-E1 are numbers drawn and G1-AO1 are highlighted drawn numbers. Just need to do about 100 or 200 rows like that lol.

Maybe you could post a picture of exactly you want it to look like.

I have looked for some formatting tricks like this, but I usually just highlight the cells, clear conditional formatting from selected cells and then format the rest manually.

i dont think what you are saying is possible.

I think you do have to do it all by conditionally formatting each row separately,

or just formatting each row manually one by one.

I dont think it can be done with VBA, but I am curious to see, as I have had that same challenge, and it is part of what makes excel so time consuming when you try to tweak the conditional formatting.

To anyone who knows can u help me im trying to highlight numbers drawn in excel over say 100 draws individually. I can do the conditional formatting with say A1-E1 being the 5 numbers drawn then G1-AO1 being the set of 35 to highlight the drawn numbers in! BUT how can I do it over say a 100 rows?? When I try to copy or move it to another row then say I put a number in my first row say 1 it highlights the 1 in all rows! I need each row to be individual with out having to format each row individua... [ More ]
