I think you have to pay their state taxes and your state tax, the federal is still the same amount.

I'm not sure...rest assured the IRS is going to get theirs lol

You mean even if your state DOES have a state sales tax....you may NOT have to pay those extra taxes because of the reciprocity agreement?? I say the state does have sales taxes cause FL TX and WA do not have sales tax....state that is....

If the state you won in had a higher state income tax rate than the state you lived in, you definite would. Plus if the city where you bought the ticket had an income tax you might be paying even more.

Depends if your state has a reciprocity agreement with the state you bought it in. I think most neighboring states have reciprocity. Not sure who you'd contact to find out for sure about your state.

Does anybody know if you buy and win a jackpot in a state other than the one you live in, do you have to pay more taxes then if you won in your own state.
