When Texas first started a lottery, there was a man from S. Texas that bought several sets of numbers for a large jackpot and two sets of numbers on the ticket were identical. The odds against that happening were exactly the same as winning the jackpot.

because peoples brains order patterns. even when randomly picking numbers, if we do it via our brain we will all pick similar numbers.

123456 or 5 10 15 20 25 30, etc, are bought more often than something truley random,

ergo more winners IF those sets come up.

here we had div 1 winners get $6k ea when 5 10 15 etc hit.

I know as well as everyone else that 1-2-3-4-5-6 is supposed to have the same chance as 3-14-25-33-37-41, ..so if you agree that this latter might yield more residual, why is that? This is something I'm struggling to grasp. Could order of numbers be a factor as well?, because from what I have seen from history of 649, this seems to be a factor. That's fine with residual prizes, but the topic you brought up is about all of the numbers coming together. Each winning JP winning numbers have the same chance, is all I'm saying.

1234 in P-4 has the same exact chance as 8761 to show.

loser - someone or something that loses something.

looser - something that is more loose than something else.

I'm just expressing my personal opinion but from personal experience I know that I have come closer to winning ( i know , it only counts in horse shoes ) many times and won more residual prizes with numbers like 5-17-29-36-37- (10) , which coincidentally is one of the most drawn pattern of numbers I found to be drawn in the Canadian LOTTO 649 than 1-2-3-4-5-(6), ( all single digits) which I found never to have happened in the last 3021 draws.

I bet the next 5+1 you personally pick is just as unlikely to show. I'll bet you 5 thousand dollars.

Every string has the EXACT same chance as showing as any other string of numbers.

How likely is it that 5-17-29-36-37-(10) will show in the next draw, or the next 3 million draws? I'll answer, just as likely as 1-2-3-4-5-(6).

I assume all lottery tickets are loser regardless of the numbers on them and I'm right 98% of the time. Now if only I could pick winners with the same percent of accuracy I could be rich.

Looking at the first page of the 'Previous Results' on MM I saw this all even draw that someone won.

Friday, November 02, 2012 --- 04 18 22 38 44 + 24

And all these where all but one were even. Granted only one was all even on the first 5.

Tuesday, November 13, 2012 --- 06 12 31 46 56 + 34

Friday, October 26, 2012 04 15 24 36 40 + 44

Friday, October 19, 2012 --- 14 34 36 48 53 + 42

Well that depends on the game. Mega Millions, as an example, had quite a few of them come up in the drawing this year: 6 evens, 6 odds, 5/1 and 1/5. PB had its share as well, but not as many as MM. Those combos come few times and far between and I for one wouldn't deliberately play them.

Another almost guaranteed loser is the combo where the PB or MB is a number that finds itself among the white balls

E.g. 1, 12, 14 36, 45 14

If you get a quick pick with all even, or odd numbers.also if you get only one odd or even number you can bet you won't get 5+0 or 6+0.
