Looks like Mega Millions is stunning now too. Its jackpot actually got over $40 million for the first time in six weeks! One more roll, and it will be at an almost-three-month high! I think Mega Millions is trying to set a record for how long its jackpot can stay under $100 million though - it hasn't been over $100 million since last 9/11. At least, good for the MUSL, Mega Millions' jackpots aren't underfunded after one or two rollovers like Powerball's are.

The other night yahoo news had an article about lotteries and different states. People in North Dakota played the least, people in Massachusetts played the most. Mass. also paid out the most.

(I think they were talking state games, not PB and MM).

I believe since I bought tickets in RI that I can't lose. I'm sure I'll at least win $4. I work for a transport service, so getting to far away states to buy tickets is just part of the job. Mark my words, if I ever hit JP or 5+0, the ticket will be from a coastal state, not Missouri.

RI is a HOT place to buy tickets. That state probably has the highest per capita number of lottery jackpot winners. I had to deliver a vehicle to Greenwich, CT so RI wasn't much further to go. Also stopped fo... [ More ]

Two of the most entertaining things in the forums are people who tell us how they hate quick picks- and then can't wait to buy a raffle ticket, and people who think the lotteries have some fishy stuff going on- and then post where they are going to buy their next ticket.

I was in complete shock that the jackpot was not won. This is the first time it's passed $50 million in ages. Do you all think its due to the fact that the players that it was too easy to win have already won? I'm trying to wrap my head around this one. I saw RI had 5+0 so I'm on my way there to buy tickets for the next drawing right now.
