Look at powerball last dec thru half of january this year. It didn't make it over 100 million. Not much you can do when people hit the jackpot, just the way it is

MM can't get above 100 mil and some people still think the lottery is rigged. Lotto fever usually happens at around 250 million. If the lottery was rigged, the lottery commission needs to do a better job of not letting the jackpot pop so soon.

Speaking of jackpot sizes, Mega Millions once again fails to reach $100 million. It had one winner tonight in New Jersey. Last year, it set a record high jackpot; now, it is trying to set a record for how long the jackpot can stay under $100 million.

This guy has no theory, just an active imagination. Apart from the very very few players who hit on their very first ticket, nobody can claim winning the lottery is easy. Even easy games such as pick 3 4 will make you sweat...*shrugs n leaves the thread

If PB reaches $1B I wont play as I sure dont want to be world famous for being the 1st one ever to hit it!

Wont be good for anyone's health, family, and psyche. If its shared by 3 or 4, then ok, $250m each. However, be ready for beggars.

But, yes, odds are the same. $250m - tax - lump sum = $100m. poor man's dough.

For $2, no powerplay, $3 gives you $2m(2nd), $40k(3rd) not possible $50k for $2 before.

Not for me. I'll stick with Lotto for 1:45m(2tix-$1) instead of 1 tix for $2.... [ More ]

Those who have previously won because it was too easy for them are no longer a factor in the game. Anyone who wins a $12 mil. MM jackpot, or a $40 mil. PB jackpot did it because it was way too easy for them. That leaves the rest of us. It's nearly impossible for the rest of us to win. Watch PB become the first BILLION dollar jackpot drawing, and then Mega millions will follow. Whoever finally wins either may go down as being the first jackpot winners that actually had a tough time winning.
