Even if the winners had started going broke taking the money to go to that show is not a smart move. If people did not know you and your financial status, they now would. And thanks to re-runs people will never get a chance to forget you which is worse.

Everybody is editioning for something. JerseyShore, Keeping up with the Kardashians or Real Housewives of Orange County. Throw in Real World, Basketball Wives, and Teen Mom and you have an idea of wassup with society. I would take the money and disappear like a fart in the wind lol

I'm wondering if some winners, who may be spending their money too quickly, agree to go on that show for money. I doubt they are paid more than a few thousand at best. Ones who expect big money probably head in the other direction ASAP.

Thye need more jackpot winners to come forward and say they want to be on it to make new shows. That's probably why they ask for some to do just that at the end of some of the programs.

I'm not absolutely positive about this, but of the four (?) states that allow winners to remain anonymous has there ever been one from one of those states appear on one of these programs

Get the HBO dvd Lucky from your library. It has some of the same winners this show interviews, but shows more into their lives. The vietnamese winners from Nebraska had some amazing stories.
