I only ever pay ATM fees when I am really in need. For cash I go to stores that offer cash back when I swipe or my bank ATM. I would never pay ATM fees to buy lottery. That $2 ATM fee is a PB quick pick right there lol

I did that when I quit smoking, after a couple weeks I think I had about 70 bucks, I also quit putting money away, just kept less out of my check and put it directly into my savings, much better return then a shoe box.

Use will power as adviced by sully16 and also use your debit card to buy groceries. Many wouldn't be willing to pay ATM fees to buy scratch offs

The way this works is that when you have the urge to scratch, dig yourself a mile long tunnel, or until you lose your vision.

When one of, or both of these events happen, you will no longer have the urge to scratch.

What sully16 said, Will Power, and try this along with it, take a time period, at least 10 days, and everytime you have the urge to play a scrather take the money you would have spent on it and put it in a cigar box or something. At the end of the time period see how much you have in there.

I know someone who won $20k in a scratch-off then almost gave all of it back. Where once he was a daily scratcher, he just gave it up and has not played again since. I once asked him how he does it and his simple answer was TUNNEL VISION .

I wish I can be like him. I want to give up the scratch-offs but just cannot develop TUNNEL VISION . I know I maybe in the wrong forum but hoping someone out there may have a good idea on how this works.
