The software produces this graph for all 59 white balls plus the 35 bonus numbers. 1 and 59 are position specific but all the

rest can move around by position. I was just checking to see how often numbers hit in consecutive draws when I found this

and thought it interesting. The number 59 might not show again for many games but when I see something like this I like

to play it.

Sorry Todd I should have explained. this shows the history for the times the number 59 has been drawn in the last

140 games. The peak of the graph shows the position within the set that the number was drawn. The space between

the hits is somewhat consistant starting 111 games back it shows two consective hits then 3 single hits then two more

consective hits then another 3 single hits. It is now at the two single hits with the games out around the normal range

Each white ball number appears in 424,270 of the possible 5,006,386 sets of 5.

424,270 / 5,006,386 = .084745762 so we can expect any number to show around

8.5 times in 100 draws. Some may show more and some less but that does not

Not to totally disagree with the lottery being crooked, I don t believe everything is on the up and up. But one would have a hard time proving them crooked. Powerball and other pick 5 and 6 lottery they have the advantage mathematically, they pay only a percentage of the take so they and Uncle Sam always get there cuts no matter who wins. Same with scratch-offs they know how much they pay per 10,000 tickets and its around 40/60.

The odds of that happening are 1 in 167. And it probably happens a few times a year, which is exactly what the odds would predict. So, to me that would indicate that the lottery is not rigged -- it would certainly not indicate that it is rigged in any way. It is SUPPOSED to happen a few times per year. (According to the odds, it should happen 2-3 times midday and 2-3 times evening every year in Maryland.

if there were some kind of rigging going on or not, we should be able to use it against them.

There's only one conculsion. Have you ever checked the matrix and seen how many times each value appears in each position? Looking at P5, the very next draw, I would have started playing for the previous value to repeat. Those are called patterns and patterns repeat.

I am a regular at our neighborhood lottery place and the guy swears by this guy who doesn't come often but when he does, he buys $50 straight and half-dollar box on a single number. Good post. I agree, with one exception...

It's highly unlikely any MM or PB player will randomly purchase a QP randomly selected by lottery terminal and match the same six numbers randomly drawn using a live ball drawing, but it happens several times every year.

Sorry, but it happens a lot more than several times every year. It happens in the majority of the draws.

The only thing l know that is rigged is that you losing half your lottery winnings if you married her/ him a day before you won it and divorced him/ her the following week.The State splits that baby right down the middle. So you could win $50 million at the start of the week and by weeks-end you down $25 mil if you divorce...how do you like them apples

I know how you feel. It can't possibly be the huge odds stacked highly against the player/bettor.

All kidding aside, I know there are bad apples, but the point I think I'm trying to make is that if your concerns didn't even exist, you'd still have to contend with those odds I mentioned earlier, really high ones.lol

If every aspect of the lottery was up and up, you'd still need nothing less than a miracle to win the JP.

Ok not saying it's not rigged but how do you control human nature??? If there is someone who knows in advance what the numbers are how do you keep them from leaking them to someone for a cut.....you can't bust them they would blow the lid on the whole rigged thing...lawsuits would ensue....etc...etc...etc..
