Psyko - how do you have friends on your feet? and why do your right side friends (hand feet) receive more than your left?

and i would hire an investment firm with a solid track record for the first 2 years while i 'played' with a smaller subset of funds - learning my own investment style... after i determined proficiency to my liking... the investment firm would be a thing of the past.

I would be more concerned about finding a safe place to put 80 million. Where can it be trusted to be put nowadays.

If anything I would place the cash into gold coin or bullion. Have my own bunkered storage vault built. Just keep enough cash laying around for pocket money. Maybe a million in pocket money.

My plan too is to keep them in CDARs and ICS accounts at least till 2016. Perhaps even keep a portion in foreign currencies. With current admin's determined socialist practices and pledge to fundamentally change the country, the dollar is sure to drop in value against say the Swiss Francs, Cayman $, (CHF, KYD), etc.

Yea I would do a lot of those. I also have a lot of confidence in the stock market for this year so I would put one million there (like an IRA...tied to a stock index).

I haven't looked at bonds in awhile but I think if you get municiple bonds? they are exempt from state and local taxes, I could be wrong or they could of changed. So don't quote me on it

lol I work a lot too but still have friends. But I agree about not giving them anything for some time. There are only 3 friends to whom I might give a small sum....giving 6 figures would ruin a friendship. I would not expect any friend who won that much to give me a dime and I would say no thanks if I were offered money.

Nothing to friends and family. I'd give some to charity. Keep enough to have 22 mil after taxes. Invest 15 mil in a low risk investment that is paying 1 or 2% right now. Invest the 5 mil in a moderate risk investment. Spend the rest.

giving to friends, doesn't sound like investing. My plan would be getting it all in investments and a financial plan, and a budget. Before spend anything on stuff i would want to know haw much income will be available. everything bought would have maintenance costs and insurance added, and accounted for. then ill see what i can afford to blow on junk. like cars and holidays. boats, houses, and of course gifts.
