Why aren't more LP winners and near winners sharing their stories?

Oh yes, the never-ending tweaks; at least for me. I have a favorite Pick 5 game that's become a pet project, for 4 years now, and I keep finding new ways of looking at it. Really hoping it won't take another 4 years to hit jackpot, but who knows. After all, JP does require perfection.

I Googled it and the lottery guy was kind enough to have an article explaining the nonsense of Brads system, and how he used a set of 15 most recurring numbers in the last 50 draws. He went on to say that Brad failed to ever disclose which type of wheel he used and how he chose a bonus number.

Once you are comfortable (win or lose) that your system gives you the best chance at winning with the numbers of lines you choose to play, it will go faster. It's tweaking your system to that point that takes time.

Maybe they spend their time studying the depth of the lottery patterns so much deeper than you could even imagine or exploring such things that took them from poverty to riches so they can make their next breakthrough.

In MO we have a 6-44 game and the average drawing produces around 10 to 20 5of6 wins. I would expect that

many of the p-6 games have similar results. On the other hand the game produces around one 6of6 about every

10 games. Drawing twice a week or 102 tines a year we have around 10 JP wins each year. MO has a population

I don't think Brad Duke is an LP member, but he did use a system to win his PB jackpot. As the story goes, he spent over $300 on tickets so even if he explained his system in full details, the average $5 a couple times a week member has no intentions of every purchasing that many tickets on one drawing. We have members who would rather ask what kind of new car Duke bought, did he change his phone number, or how he invested his winnings. Bet at least one member would ask if he collected anonymous... When you consider the resources available to any lottery players using the Internet and especially the LP members that should be true but sometimes I wonder after reading the post of a member in Columbus, Ohio.

He said if he ever won MM second prize of $250K, he would make the 2-3 hour drive to Cleveland and be in the lottery office the next morning as soon as it opened. When I asked why wouldn't just drive to regional office in Columbus, he said he wasn't aware there was one.

They could connect through a VPN, which can show their location as somewhere like Toronto, San Francisco, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, etc. But yea, I imagine most aren't aware of such things or are still fearful that they'd be connected back to.

I use this username at various other sites where I'm pretty sure I've used my name so I would hold off on posting that I won (having claimed via a trust) and continue to post as I do now. What I've thought about doing is sending a message/email... [ More ]

My best was in 2011 when I won $400 on Powerball using my wedding anniversary numbers, because the drawing was on my anniversary. If I'd picked one number different(10 instead of 11, or was it 11 instead of 10), it would have been $40,000. In spite of that, I'm still happy.

If I did win it big, I'd probably not broadcast it, you never know who's listening/lurking.

I'd hate to think of the pm's alone.

Would be a whole bunch of people, under the guise of congratulating you, trying to put 'la mordida' (the bite) on you.

And as some have already said here, posting a win on the net would be crazy. If someone is in a non-anonymous state, which most are, they'd have enough to deal with.

No stories from me yet. I'd share the news if I hit a semi jackpot (under $250,000). Its just that I wouldnt quit my job for that much so its a semi to me. If I hit the jp I would collect, and then about a year later I'd start a thread on LP with the news and to answer all questions from the curious. Then after a week after that I'd leave and never return

My guess is that Lottery Post members who regularly post are among the most well-informed lottery players, and know not to broadcast information about their big wins. I know that big winners do come to the site, but they would rather not make it known. (A smart decision, frankly.

I wish I had a story to tell, now DH he got 5/6 on the Texas Lotto December 18, 2010. the numbers were

16-17-23-31-38-46 he had 16-17-23-31-38-54 it was on the last line. I told him not to stop and buy any more tickets he told me he was thirsty when we were in Gainesville so he made one more last stop and grabbed some tickets. I was fussing at him all the way home to Oklahoma(LOL).

Of course I will never fuss at him again

With over 50,000 members, LP'ers probably have had a few jackpot winners and hundreds or near winners. Could it be that they just don't want to engage in the kinds of conversations they fear their stories might generate?

Since I joined I have missed being a multi-millionaire twice by matching 5of6 in Ohio's 6/49 games. There much be hundreds of such stories among us LP members.
