Augustine restoring amputated limbs? Do those stories only exist in Catholicism- because there are tales in Catholicism of baby Jesus making claybirds and bringing them to life. By the way that story is also in the Quran. How it ended up there is open to debate.

In one of her many books about angels Doreen Virute mentions praying to win the lottery.

She stated that when you do so, you are in essence praying for everyone else to lose and angels and the Divine just don't operate like that.

In the movie Bruce Almighty a bunch of people in that city got their lottery dream prayer answered and each won less than $20. I don't think praying by itself works because if it did then we would all be richer than the Carlos Slim...yeah you know him. He's the richest man in the world o_O

Not really. It's because God couldn't regrow limbs so we had to do something and invented prosthetics. How about that? Prayer is an outlet for us. It gives people something to hope and believe in. Not that I'm against it. It is what it is.
