It seems they would hve to cash it in first and then give you your share.

If I EVER win that big, I have already made arrangements with a friend of mine to claim it and we split it down the middle and the taxes too. I would not want the hassle of all the long lost relatives coming out of the wood and enemies becomes friends all of a sudden. I do not want the worries about if some fool wants to kidnap my grandbabies for a ransom and so forth. I might pay them to take my kids thou.....LOL... just joking about that..LOL

If I didn't think I could handle winning the jackpot, I wouldn't buy any tickets. As a matter of fact I'm having second thoughts about even buying tickets for Saturday's PB drawing because of that.

only 30% tax? I would accept the terms of your deal because a 30% tax rate is too good to pass up. The marginal tax rate for income over 400k for a single filer is 39.6% add another 3.8% for obamacare tax and then another 5 to 10% tax depending on the state you live. A 30% tax rate would be an amazing tax cut. I would sign up for this deal in a heart beat just for the tax savings alone.

Say your ticket won a big Powerball jackpot of $216,000,000 this Saturday. The cash option is $132,800,000. I'll subtract a tax amount of 30% ($39,840,000) which would leave a final cash value of $92,960,000

If somone offered you $85,000,000 (cash up front). To save yourself from all the idiots, BS, and publicity that comes along with win such a large amount of money. Would you sell your ticket
