Just checked my ticket. I managed to hit 2 of 5 on one line. My strategy so far has not worked for PB. Given, it's only had 3 runs at it and 5 lines per draw. But even had I played more lines. My elimination strategy eliminated 3 of the numbers drawn. Best possible case would have been 2 of 5 w/PB.

Nice! I usually take the shotgun approach with the powerball numbers. Spread it out. However, if 3 or 10 comes up.. It covers all you spent. Is your goal to hit 5+0

Having all 5 winning MM numbers in a set of 28 still leaves 98.820 combinations, or 1 in 39 odds. Lately I have been able to choose bonus numbers BETTER than the regular numbers.

If you start with a group of 35 that holds the winning 5 MM numbers, and eliminate 7 randomly, you end up with a group of 28 and have eliminated almost 98% of the possible (5 of 5) combinations.

As I was busy with statistics, doing combinatorics and keeping up a thread for All or nothing, I found that one of my tables came out short in size. I programmed three new functions / methods. Let's say that you split 56 numbers into 3/5 and 2/5, 37 and 19 numbers.

You would filter down the combinations to a full selection with 3 out of 37 and 2 out of 19,

and it would come out true. Any combination with 3/37 and 2/19! The results would be:

Considering that 1 to 5 balls can repeat,

I wouldn't necessarily eliminate numbers from the previous draw unless they were picked in consecutive drawings, so I would avoid selecting a number that would have to show up 3 times in a row.

Personally I avoid the very cold numbers, which are those that have not come up or have been drawn only once during the past 50 draws. I do sprinkle in moderately cold numbers, or those that have shown up 2-3 times in the previous 50. I focus more on which numbers to include vs exclude by looking... [ More ]

A number from the previous draw in MM will repeat itself about 35%-36% of the time.

A sequence will show up about 39% of the time. see chart below

If you had played every previous winning MM combination since the last matrix change 807 drawings ago you would have matched 0+1 twelve times, 1+1 six times, 2+1 once and 3+0 three times at a cost of $806 and you would have won $73.

It depends on the number of lines you play how effective looking at previous history can be. I like to play 10-20 lines and think previous history can help me select better combinations to play.

Has anyone found an effective way to routinely eliminate numbers? Multi state games only.

Something as simply as removing the prior draw numbers from your selection. How effective is that? What percent does a number repeat draw to draw in say MM?
