Hi rowlettewheel,

Since the odds of winning the PB and MM jackpots are 1 in 175 million even buying 100 tickets wouldn't seem to give you great odds of winning the jackpot. Now with 100 dollars spent you would still have a greater chance to win the lower prizes but getting something like the 2nd place prize, 5 numbers probably would make any difference. The most tickets I've bought was 5 tickets for a draw.

I have just spent $114 for Fantasy 5 - got back $16 and 16 free tickets.

I spent $20 for a different draw but the same game - got back $16 and 4 free tickets.

Lesson learned. Never spend more than $20 for a draw, no matter what the jackpot is.

It used to take a buck to win in PB... now it just takes two... I'd never put a hundo down... that barely registers on the probability richter scale.

Didn't some pro basketball player plunk down 10K on a large jackpot? Wonder how he did and how long it took to check all those tickets

I agree but as bad as the odds are (PB and Mega), somebody always eventually wins it.

Think about this. In your state of Michigan, how many draws go by with NO winners of the second prize of PB? And in all those draws the Michigan people spent millions of dollars each draw. Those are millions of combinations and NO second prize winner and certainly no jp winner. So $100 is nothing but a drop in the bucket. Because of this knowledge I spend less than $10 on each draw.

People have reported that they've done it here, sometimes up to $1,000 on the really big jackpots.
