Yeah, I think jackpot burnout is happening even at this level. This is the third time Powerball has crossed over $300 million in the last twelve months as well. In contrast, Mega Millions hasn't seen a single jackpot at $150 million or higher since it set the record $656 million jackpot last March 30, 2012.

$320M is nothing. The media's senses are dulled at this point. Remeber that the 2 largest jackpots for both PB MM happened in the last 12 months.

I think if we roll again, they will get on the bandwagon.

I'd say when the number of picks/play on a draw meets or exceeds the odds on the game, then the jackpot is in insane territory.(and it is likely to hit)

The last time PB did that, it was over $500M and it hit.

The last time MM did that, the final 2 draws both exceeded odds when it hit for over $600M on the 2nd.

On this last PB of $260M, it was only about 25% there, so the next one might get close, and the one after that will probably will break it.
