That's a good point, but I participated in many reverse raffles and the usual format was each number was placed into a capsule and drawn one at a time. It took over an hour with just 100 entries. Some of these lottery raffles have 250,000 entries and over 1000 different prize winners so it would be difficult and time consuming if the same method was used.

I would'nt play rng, before I came to LP I never even heard of them w/respect to lottery,

Yeah, Indiana'a got an F grade on the Lottery Post State Lottery Report Card.

You're lucky that you're not too far from Ohio though, which has an A+ grade.

I also would stop playing if it was computer generated. I happen to like the bouncing balls and I feel it is on a better playing field. I very seldom play any of the Indiana state games for this same reason.

I don't know if the Massachusetts lottery is computerized or not but there have been quite a few 'wiseguys' (AHEM!) win it.

Seems that way rdgrnr doesn't it. I can't see the MM/ PB lottery going that route.Imagine the # of investigations into inside job wins . For instance: The cousin of the manager of the lottery came away with a $70 mil win, the half sister who was on foodstamps a month ago is now the sole winner of the $180 mil PB jackpot..

Oh the horror.

I'll be through playing PB or MM if they ever go that route.

I don't even play my own state's games cuz they're fake computer drawings, I drive to another state.

If everything went to fake computer drawings, I would just quit playing the lottery completely.

Would not seeing the balls being spinned around change your impression or betting on the game?

Personally l say- let the spinning of the balls continue into infinity and beyond - Transparency matters, especially when money is involved, your money.
