thats what i was going to type, everytime they add another large state they update the odds of winning, usually to harder to win. Ca is pretty large, exopect even bigger jackpots

Yes it better rise faster;

and yes I can see them changing the matrix. Hopefully not too much more difficult, I'd guess it be around 180 million to 1 instead of 176million

Yea, the JP will rise much faster, at least at first, then may level off some.

I was there when their state lottery started, the fever for the first games was incredible,

and they were only scratchers in the beginning, thats how most states start.

I don't understand rdgrnr... what's that got to do with the matrix?

I'm not talking about prize level distributions per category... just the pure notion of adding more players to the mix, resulting in more money in the pot per draw than there was previously without Cali.

With all these new players... If it ain't going back in the pot, then where's it going- that's what I'm wondering about.

We should see faster growing JP's Y/N?

California will certainly add tremendously to the PB pot, especially with the jackpot starting at $40 mil. l sure hope that it does not translate into quicker wins under $100 mil because it would suck in some respects. More people play when it rises.

So does one feel bad if they win say $10- 20 mil and not the ones over $300 mil? Some persons might.

However as my big brother loves to remind me why worry about how many millions more you could have won- you have money in hand that you did no... [ More ]

Now that PB is $2 a pop, do you think The Powerball Gaming Gurus will raise the cash increment levels between draws? With the addition of California, in theory, Powerball has now added 37 million new players to the mix.

That's a lot of new revenue coming in... seems to me the JP should be rising a bit faster than the usual 10MM increments.
