I can't post a pic at the moment, cameras weren't invented back then. lol but i can describe it. It was a few pieces of paper about 3X3 Inches in which one of them won the straight hit .

Had numbers written on them.

Michigan Pick3. A family friend was up there and called for some numbers and I gave him Chevy motors 283, 327, 396, 409 and 427.

He said I won and gave me some money when he got back but it must have been box cuz I don't think it was very much. He paid for the tickets anyway.

My first was Mega Millions, and I won zip. And from then on I was hooked!

I lived most of my adult life in a non-lottery state. Even though I had traveled to many big lottery states during that time, CA, TX, MA, FL, WA, it is funny that even though I knew about the lottery and huge jackpots, it never even crossed my mind to buy a ticket when I was staying in one of those states.

I know it was a scratcher cause that's how states get started,

but I was only 17 so can't remember when I bought the first legal one.

I guess that happened shortly after my 18th b/day.

back then no one seemed to care, been going to the racetrack since i was 14 y/o

I don't remember the ticket name.

It was a pre printed $1 paper ticket that came with perforations between the tickets.

It was red white and blue and there was a weekly drawing where you could win $1,000,000

This was a Michigan ticket and I don't remember the name.

It was in the 1980's when there was that ticket and the daily 3 and some weird card game that had odd prizes...it was printed off a terminal like the daily 3 tickets and there where dollar scratchers at the tim... [ More ]

The drawing was on Saturday nights and it was a good way to learn the numbers in German.

My first one was Powerball. I was visiting my sister and she lived near the Four Corners area. Her state didn't have it, but we drove to either New Mexico or Colorado and bought a couple. IIRC neither of us won a dime.

Post the first lottery ticket you bought when you first turned the legal age to buy them, my first one was when I turned 16 and bought a normal Lotto ticket and matched 4 numbers and won 60 (100USD).
