I used JustBasic to learn programming....found it the easiest of the Basic languages to learn. What I also liked (and only found out later) is that the syntax is similar to Pascal and I could rewrite my JustBasic programs with FreePascal with just some minor changes and cleanup code, this improved the speed of my programs as well. The JustBasic forum is also extremely helpful to people new to programming

Has anyone looked into JustBasic and SmallBasic by Microsoft? They are two free applications that can be used to write small utilities and plug and play programs for the latest versions of Windows.

I'm looking at JustBasic and it seems to have all the features needed to rewrite all my GWBasic programs for versions of Windows later than Windows XP.
