If anyone wants to buy a roll of tickets, just give me the money and i'll give you half back cause 9 times out of 10 that's what's going to happen. If you are rich or have the budget, go for it!

I usually just buy $20 most at a time, usually 1 $10 and 2 $5 tickets (in a day) and have had great success with winning $50's to $500's which is a bigger thrill than buying a whole crap load just to maybe get half back. It's all timing.

when playing scratch it's all about being at the right place at the right time. I bought several books, the odds are somewhat correct. Average return ranges from 25-45 % especially the $20 games. Pure luck, all my good wins come from playing 1 or 2 cards.

It is by far the worst game.... ha!! I only bought it because it has the best odds at a million, and the best odds at a thousand bucks out of the other $20 games. This is the ONLY $20 game I've never hit $500 on....the coating on the ticket is hard to scratch off, the odds are terrible for even the lower-tiered prizes, etc.... This is truly the game where I say only try it if you have a good feeling, or if you are going for the big win. It's awful otherwise.

Interestingly enough, I've only bought 3 entire rolls in the last 5 years, but yes--the odds were pretty much on point. In fact:

1. Billion Dollar Blockbuster ($20 game) and there are 50 tickets on that roll. I had 17 winners. Overall advertised odds are 1:2.98....pretty much right on. However, they were mostly small wins. That roll had 2 winners of $100, but small wins the rest of the way. It returned $595.....

2. Gold Rush Tripler ($20 game) and there are 30 tickets on that roll. I had 9... [ More ]

Odds vary during game.. LOL. I've bought a good amount of books and its usally more or less winners never really exactly what the odds say. It usally resulted in me wanting to only wanting to buy half the book in hope to get the half with the bigger or more frequent winners.

not even close ...

however, i think its more complicated ... bc you might win a ticket that was supposed to be a 1:1000 within that roll etc ...

however, i have only done a whole roll on the $2 scractchers ...

i did however stumble upon leftovers (trashed $10 ticket roll, provided by the retailer at my local liquor store) and it had horrendous turnover ...

i can't remember exactly but if i recall correctly it was 5-6 winners from 50 tickets ... 1:10 not 1:4-5

hope that helps... [ More ]

When you bought the whole roll, did the odds of winning from that roll matched the odds published by the lottery?

For example if the odds published by the lottery were 1 in 4 and you bought the whole roll consisted of 100 tickets, did you get 25 winning tickets
