How big a JP prize is has absolutely nothing to do with the odds of whether you'll win or not.

The OP is asking If you think about the odds, not the JP size. You can't simply ignore the odds because the prize amount is higher.

I'm in no way swaying your optimism, just making sure you realize that odds don't change just because you're more aware of the benefits due to the natural high the lottery gives you when contemplating what to do with your money if you win.

No because the jp is usually so huge that if I hit I would have enough money supply for a lifetime. Its tough to ignore such kind of money especially when all that is required is only $1 or $2

l could have asked some really odd questions like..

Do you want to be paid out in $100 or $1000 bills when you hit it- screw the cheque?

Will you be driven to work in a limo when you tell your Boss you quiting your job?

Will you rather wait till you 66 to quit your job even though you won the big one at age 40?

If you never swim in the ocean, your odds of being attacked by a shark approach 0.

If you go surfing in shark-infested waters every day, the odds are much higher than 1/11,500,000. The same goes for most of the other odds.

In the real world:

The odds are Golden. Of course you have to weigh in the odds. That's first priority. First beat the p-3 relatively regularly, then move up.

I'm aware of the odds but don't give a whole lot of thought to them, it's the lottery.

When anyone comments about Do you know the odds against winning the lottery? I tell them that the odds are a lot better if you have a ticket than if you don't

Hey the odds are against all of us big time when playing the lottery....but if you focus on that you'd never play.....I like to keep in mind that those magic six numbers don't have anyone's name on it so it's anyones gain...Also you cant win if you don't play...one chance in 175 million is better than no chance...
