Ditto, but replace bank with wealth management firm for a larger jackpot (over $20m cash). Some won't accept you as a client unless you have a certain amount to invest. They will make the arrangements for what accounts and where to have the funds transferred from the lottery.

Seriously though, it's said that everyone knows 20 people, combine that with loose lips sink ships and you have the less said the better. There are plenty of people out there who try to 'play hero' using other people's time, efforts and resources.
