Years ago the stores here did the same. The c-store closest to me got a new guy working evenings, and he would shut it down 45 minutes before he was supposed to. I should have called their corporate office, but I just quit going there. That location shut down not long after.

I once had the opposite problem. Trying to PB/MM tickets but the convient store I went to wouldn't sell me any until about 6 A M. I quit going to that store.

I don't think our vending machines stop selling tickets. I've bought them at 1am, and it assigns the ticket to what time/day you hit the machine. Not sure about the counter machines.

Thanks for the info MM. Glad I asked. I was thinking it was just 5 or 10 minutes before the draw. I'm gonna try buying a QP just before it closes tonight since I don't think I've ever tried that.

In my state MA on the day of the drawing the betting pools close at 9:50 pm ea.
