I assume you're talking about 200 tickets and not 200 lines, because buying 200 lines might only be 40 or 20 tickets and lots of people buying for a pool might buy that many which should only take a minute or two even when the terminals are slow. I said I like to watch people go nuts. However I am too busy picking numbers to actually watch anybody on tv or anywhere else. However I dont like people at work asking me to collect the money for the pool and then going nuts and demanding quick picks. I also dont enjoy getting behind somebody on line who is going nuts buying 200 tickets, because then I might have to go down the street to another store.

I think I want to change my vote to nut choice number two.

Since almost every state sells MM and PB tickets now, there aren't any tickets buying frenzies like those when only a few states sold tickets and players had to travel to one of them to play. If I didn't read or hear about them in the media, I wouldn't know they still exist.

Before MM and PB came to Ohio, traveling an hour to Michigan or Indiana, and standing in line for twenty or so minutes was fairly common when I played those games. Now the only places I see people standing in line to buy... [ More ]

Here in mcminnville we have lots of places to get tickets at so their are no lines to wait for your ticket. No frenzy here but then oregon does not sell that many tickets.-weshar75

I just buy my one line. The odds are so high that buying a bunch of tics doesn't do that much good.

But I could have voted all of the above if it was an option. You got all the experts that don't know squat, and the nuts going crazy.

I would be just as happy to win the starting jackpot prize. I would still get to retire.

I dont get excited , but do like to watch other people

Especially the ones that always ask you , why do you play the lottery , and they will tell you that they never play

I figure I am already a winner by not playing seems to be one of their favorite lines

But then...............when it goes over 200 million , you will see those same people buying a few tickets theirselves , and looking around to make sure no one is noticing them playing

It's funny... I mentioned the large J/P to some friends who looked blankly at me and said: 'is 600M$ big for PB?' there seems to be no frenzy or fevered purchasing of tickets in my neck of the woods... it's rather disappointing.

People come into the stores to buy Mega or Powerball ticket, feel a little guilty, and buy other items before leaving.

Not me, I buy tickets at the convenience store or gas stations and that is all. I stay away from all their merchandise that have huge mark up. I don't understand what someone would feel guilty for anyway.

I noticed the store owners get very excited at this time. They have learned that it's almost like Christmas when they can pull in big profits. People come into the stores to buy Mega or Powerball ticket, feel a little guilty, and buy other items before leaving. You can usually tell, these are people that only play every once in awhile when the jackpot goes out.

No long lines here! Weird because I remember when there were large jackpots in the mid to late 90's, the local news would show lines of people waiting to buy their chance. I'm not sure when that changed, but I haven't seen a line in at least 10 years. Every c-store, grocery store, likker store, smoke shop, etc etc etc sells them, and at the grocery stores there's usually 1 or 2 vending machines per store plus you can get them at the customer service counter, so that really spreads out the people...
