His advisor had his winnings invested in a annuity paying him $85k per month for the rest of his life and that wasn't enough for David Edwards. He cashed out and proceeded to blow his entire fortune.

Just because an annuity option is available doesn't mean someone who can't handle money is safe. There have been many past winners who had taken the annuity option simply because the cash lump payout wasn't available and cashed out.

Jackpot winners shouldn't be held responsible for the stupidity of their friends and family members just because they shared their winnings with them. They certainly never intend for people they love to be hurt.

He won a jackpot, immdiately took his friends on a trip to Vegas. Then he bought a condo in Florida and eventually lost it because he wasn't paying the association fees or something.

He was profiled on one of The Lottery Changed My Life episodes and was known for saying, You can''t fix stupid .

I wish that somebody, or several people, somewhere hits them. Would be nice if it was me, but if it's not I just hope whoever wins doesn't go Jack Whataker or Davie Lee Edwards with the win.

What would be most amusing would be a winner from tonight's being quoted as saying well ... I'm rather disappointed that I did not win PowerBall, so I expect I will have to make do with a MegaMillions win.
